You're on the 1. You need to be uptown as quickly as possible. The train approaches Chambers Street and you wonder: Is it a good idea to get off and wait for the express?
This is a common use case for me when using TW. It's possible, but the support could be better. Here's vaguely how I think it could work:
- When I have a train selected, I can enable "Transfer Mode".
- When "Transfer Mode" is open, TW guesses how long it will take to get to each station ahead of this train. It then checks each line with a transfer available at that station, looks at the trains on that line with this stop ahead, and picks the next 1-2 trains that are expected to arrive at that station after the selected train.
- The map shows only the selected train and the transfer trains.
- TW makes no specific recommendations and doesn't display the timing information, but the user can use this map and their best judgement to decide what transfer(s) to make.
