Hi everyone,

we haven't been giving this project much love lately.

Is anyone from the community willing to take over maintenance?

I'm happy to take this on. AWS are also working on adding ECS SD to prometheus itself, so I'd like to align this to what they're doing and also to the changes I have on a private fork.

Would you be OK with reviewing a series of PRs which upstream our changes, then we can figure out what model works?

@rhowe hey I know this is quite old but do you have any insights on how aws went with this? I'm searching through some documentation but the bigger picture is not clear to me right now. It seems every ecs discovery project is abandoned so is there some new way of dynamically discovering ecs stuff? Maybe someone can share some knowledge here :D

@bmariesan We switched to otel collector sidecars and managed Prometheus for our fargate services https://github.com/aws-observability/aws-otel-collector/blob/main/config/ecs/ecs-amp-prometheus.yaml

thanks a lot, will surely look into that, not entirely happy to use the managed prometheus for this, but for a limited time it could do the job :)
