Teslamate behind a reverse proxy

I have seen other questions here about not getting teslamate to work behind a reverse proxy server, but nobody has an actual solution. I have a reverse proxy set up so that https://xxx.myWANAddress.com is sent to http://myLocalServerIpAddress:3000 and https://yyy.myWANAddress.com set sent to http://myLocalServerIpAddress:4000.

And in the Settings I have set the URLS to point to https://xxx.myWANAddress.com and https://yyy.myWANAddress.com

All the grafana stuff works just fine. But the TeslaMate stuff (:4000) all seems to hang, either trying to load the maps, or something else. Any clue on how to get this to work?
