I'm on xfce, I don't know if other DEs may actually send Tuner to tray, but xfce doesn't. It just shows up the notification/popup that it's running in background and that's it. You can make it come back by running the .desktop file again, but that requires steps that are not necessary IMO. Plus, you have a visual representation if Tuner is running, regardless if music is playing or not.
