warn for outdated data

if an overpass api return an header "" with a lag > x hours/days, show a warning
add a setting for this number of hours/days before warning (maybe 25 h ?)

From an ergonomic point of view, the aim does not seem to have been achieved; deducing that the yellow data indicates a server lag seems to require prior knowledge of this.
There really is a lack of notification, for ex a popup "outdated data"

A popup would just be fairly annoying from my point of view, so I would encourage you to look into other options. Also, you're of course free to improve the documentation https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Overpass_turbo and document the current behavior.

getting outdatad data with a cosmestic color from my point of view is very worse.

The interface’s usability needs to be improved; it’s not user-friendly to expect users to read the documentation just to find out whether a particular interface colour indicates a hidden notification.
In fact, that’s exactly what happened yesterday: a user was wondering why they weren’t seeing the data they expected, without realising there was a hidden notification.

If anyone wants to continue receiving outdated data, they simply need to click ‘OK’ on the notification pop-up.
If you find that a pop-up truly unacceptable, perhaps a message saying ‘outdated data’ in the yellow box would be a compromise, ensuring users are aware of the notification rather than having to guess.

Matter of taste... getting outdated data looks more annoying to me that a popup message !

At least, yellow could be change to red or something more looking as a warning.

perhaps just add inside at the top of that yellow box (with 2 existing lines of statistics) another line saying "WARNING! Data is stale; last updated 2026-03-27" or something.
