Documentation question. Topic: BCI app now working on iOS devices

Hi!

My question is about documenting. Currently, the bciapp is functional on iOS. Should I create a new branch with an updated readme on how to get started?

It's not compatible with iOS runtimes older than 14, Xcode versions older than 14, NativeScript iOS runtime 8.x.

What functionality should I expect to see? How should I proceed with testing the app on https://github.com/umnil/bci?

It looks like the bluetooth functionality is limited. After hitting "Discover Devices" a list of discovered devices should appear for connection. It's possible this may be better tested on a physical device?

Got it! Here is the app tested on a real iPhone. It required a few more quick steps.

Yes. Create a branch. Make your edits. Commit them, then create a pull request.

Yes. The app looks good. It will get more complicated once it's connect to the main BCI system

Clone the repo then get it running using the following command:

python -m bci --verbose=DEBUG

This should get it started. You'll know it's running if it just keeps spitting out logging data. If it stops, then the bci system has probably crashed. Codex is your friend here until it's working.

Once it's running, your computer should show up on the app side as a device you can pair with from the app. Once paired, the bci system will send over all the device info to the app and you'll see these changes on the main screen in the app once successfully connected.
