Francesca Tomasi is Full Professor of Archival Science, Library Science and Bibliography at the University of Bologna, where she has taught Digital Humanities since 2006. Trained in Cultural Heritage Conservation, Archival Studies, Web Technologies and Italian Studies, her research focuses on the computational modelling and design of humanities data and documents, knowledge organization systems for archives and libraries, digital scholarly editing, Semantic Web technologies and Linked Open Data for cultural heritage. Her most recent book is Organizzare la conoscenza: Digital Humanities e Web semantico. Un percorso tra archivi, biblioteche e musei (Editrice Bibliografica, 2022), which brings together her work on Digital Humanities, knowledge organization and the Semantic Web for archives, libraries and museums.
