[BUG] Unable to remove green boot screen to wanted theme

Bug Report

I used an older version of Dark Boot (4.0.5) initially and set a dark boot screen. But from then on, even the current version does not properly set the boot screen theme/colors chosen.

After a shutdown/powerup cycle, the set boot screen returns to green.

Expected behavior/code
Accept the settings as by the app

• Plugins: none, but set HighSierra using it pseudo-dark theme
