Backend Challenge - CQRS Pattern

Introduction

Implement Command Query Responsibility Segregation (CQRS) for complex domain logic.

This challenge is tech-agnostic. Choose your preferred programming language, framework, database, ORM, message queue, and event store. For senior level, you can use any technologies and patterns.

Objectives

  • Separate read and write operations
  • Implement event sourcing
  • Optimize read and write performance

Instructions

  1. Environment Setup:

    • Programming language and web framework
    • Database and ORM for reads
    • Event store for writes
    • Message queue for event handling
    • Caching solution
  2. Implementation Details:

    • Create separate models for commands and queries
    • Implement event sourcing for write operations
    • Set up event handlers for read model updates
  3. Testing:

    • Test command execution and query performance

Possible Improvements

  • Add snapshotting for performance
  • Implement event versioning
  • Set up distributed event processing

Conclusion

By completing this challenge, you will master CQRS and event sourcing.

Happy coding!
