Focus window after switching desktop

It would be nice if the last focused window got focus again after switching desktop, as it does when using gestures.

Did you try closing any other applications except some basic text editors or browser windows and trying if it still loses focus?
Maybe some other app is interfering?
Alternatively are you sure the application that loses focus isn't shifting focus area itself?
Is the focus lost for any application or just some specific application?

The problem with addressing this is that the application is already designed to resume the last focused window and it seems to work for me on 3 different computers. Trying to address it would require to replicate the issue happening, well at least if I tried to look into it 😅

It happens with me too. I cannot focus to the last visited application on the desktop, which is a little annoying as I have to again reach for mouse to make that happen. Is there a workaround for that or if you can point me to direction where I can look and implement that myself would be helpful. Thank you!

@ksajan You can try to take a look around here to try implementing a fix for how this is handled.

Be aware, that when debugging you might not encounter this issue at all, and might have to blind guess your fix.

A quick and dirty test you could try out (and maybe live with) would be adding a small delay to invoking.
It's not a good solution, but might work, as it seems to have been related to this issue in the past.
Or maybe it won't do anything, but that's the only thing I can think of right now to try out.

Basic thing to try out. Try out different values 1, 50, 100, 1000 here maybe that would help without ruining the usability.

I love this app and experience the same issue as well. At first I thought the problem was with the Win key since I changed hotkeys to Win+{N}, but it actually isn't since I still experience the problem with default Alt+{N} ones

Might push some time to research it since this app really resolves my problem regretting quitting Linux for native Win+{N} shortcuts

Actually I don't experience the issue anymore after watching some YouTube videos in fullscreen 👀

It's now as smooth as it can be. Some info about my 2 screens setup:

• The left one is for primary work where each desktop corresponds to something (1 - terminal, 2 - browser with work profile, etc.)
• The right one with something pinned on all desktops (e.g. browser with personal profile). That's where I launched the YT video. Upon watching, the desktop which doesn't have any window on the left screen was selected

Yeah, I've been meaning to look into this one more. it seems to come and go. Sometimes it seems to smooth out for a while. I've tried a few different hacks for it, but nothing that works super well yet.
