Right now, the Calendar view is stuck with at 8am -> 11pm and there is no way to change it. You can put the time you want in the event form, but then you might not see your event in the calendar if it's fore 8am.
It would really be interesting to have some option to configure that, as there are plenty of reasons to require a bigger (or smaller) range.
In any case, it would probably make a lot more sense to have a 24h range by default, since it's impossible to decide a limited range that fit everyone. Other calendar applications I can think of have a 24h range and don't both provide a configuration to limit it.
