Academic Writing Toolkit has three public surfaces.
Use this for the full workflow. The agent can read and write your local project files: chapters, notes, evidence registers, release packets, and exports.
Start here when you use Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor, or another compatible local agent host.
Use this when you want the same local skills packaged as an installable Codex plugin. The plugin is a distribution wrapper, not a different workflow.
Use this for pasted-text checks and reading-note template generation. The ChatGPT App surface processes temporary text inputs only. It does not read or write your local thesis project and does not run the full local workflow.
If the task needs project files, use local agent skills. If the task only needs pasted text, the ChatGPT App surface can be enough.
