fwiw, we've actually tried automating WeChat messaging at scale (like, sending notifications to thousands of users) — not gonna lie, it's a pain. The official WeChat API doesn't really let you send messages unless you're a service account (公众号), and even then, you gotta jump through a bunch of hoops with approvals and templates. If you're talking about personal accounts, we ended up using ItChat (Python lib) but it's super brittle and breaks every time WeChat updates. The thing is, for CogVLM integration, you can trigger external scripts, but don't expect rock-solid reliability unless you're cool with some hacks and manual QR logins. Honestly, the docs never mention this but rate limits and captcha popups are a nightmare.
