ZEDX AI Scalability & Growth Guide

This guide outlines the steps to scale ZEDX AI infrastructure as your user base grows.

1. Database (Supabase)

Current: Free Tier (Shared instances).
When to scale: When reaching >10,000 rows or experiencing lag in auth/dashboard.
Action:
- Go to Supabase Dashboard -> Settings -> Billing.
- Upgrade to Pro Tier ($25/mo).
- This provides dedicated resources and larger storage.

2. AI Infrastructure (Groq API)

Current: Free/Trial limits.
When to scale: "Rate Limit Reached (429)" errors appearing frequently for users.
Action:
- Login to Groq Console.
- Add a payment method and switch to Pay-as-you-go.
- Monitor usage in the dashboard.

3. Web Hosting (Vercel)

Current: Free Tier.
When to scale: When bandwidth exceeds 100GB/mo.
Action:
- Upgrade to Vercel Pro ($20/user/mo).
- This enables better analytics and prevents downtime due to traffic spikes.

4. Performance Optimizations

Rate Limiting: If bot traffic increases, implement upstash or similar middleware in Next.js.
Response Caching: Cache common interview question answers in Supabase or Redis to reduce API costs.
