The HAOS Z-Wave JS App is Z-Wave JS UI. The app cannot exist without this project. You won't find an answer to the question of whether you should migrate because only you can (should) decide how to run your infrastructure. Either installation method is a viable option with their own pros and cons, so you should choose the one that best suits your requirements. Functionally they are identical. If you are looking for opinions, then I would suggest not migrating since you already have something that is working, and you prefer the components to be running separately. The main reason to migrate to the app, IMO, would be if you want HAOS to manage the installation of Z-Wave JS UI for you instead (upgrades and backups), of if you want the ZUI Web UI access to go through HA. Running ZUI standalone gives you more flexibility in deployment. |

Hi,
I have been reading a lot about the last changes and migration process from Zwave JS UI to Zwave JS app in HA.
However, i am unable to find the answer to the following question: currently i run HA in a VM on a Truenas Scale server and Zwave JS UI as a separate container (custom app) on the same server.
Should i migrate to HA Zwave JS app or not ? not clear for me if Zwave JS UI will still be maintained in the future after this integration into HA. I would like to keep them separate.
Thank you !
