Preparing a build environment

You will need a clean environment for your packaging work. Many people will do packaging in their daily system copy, and this is a sign of a lack of basic responsibilities, and you will be consequently considered as the worst kind of human being imaginable.

Not all source code can be identically configured, and no environment can guarantee a prevention other than BuildKit. A clean environment with minimal amount of libraries installed is key to reproducible builds.
