One of the most difficult challenges I faced was keeping up with the quantity of code I produced. I noticed that the more meticulous I was trying to be, notably with streak calculation, the harder it got. I kept my logic for daily vs. weekly calculation separate, and my hardest challenge was having weekly streak calculation work. Type mismatches and incorrect sorting to check consecutive weeks resulted in me investing hours of time into fixing my issues. Eventually, everything worked out, but it made me realize that I need to include more comments in my code, so that I'm not trying to figure out what a random line of code in a file with 300 lines does. I'm happy that these features work now, and I think it really brings this project up a notch.
