A world about a room that claims equality and distributes heat by position.
The bench has levels. The top bench is hotter. Where you sit is a statement you make before you know you are making it. The löyly arrives for everyone at once whether they are ready or not. The door is always available. The cold water receives whatever the heat found.
Nine personas, two places, eight pieces, five positions, five processes. This world does not resolve. It clears.

The world selects the persona whose gap creates the most pressure on what you bring. A persona hands off when their work is done. The chain returns to you when it cannot continue without you.
Aino (Retired Teacher) — has been coming so long she has become what the room expects. Has stopped being surprised.
Markku (Retired Engineer) — heated this sauna before most people here were born. Authority earned forty years ago, running on momentum since.
Päivi (Healthcare Worker) — came here to stop. Picked up the ladle within two minutes. Cannot be in a room without managing it.
Riitta (Office Manager) — her spot: third plank from the left, upper bench, eleven years. The welcome is real. The equality is not.
Petri (Sales Manager) — has a story for every silence. Fills the room before the silence can become something true.
Mira (Regular) — seven years, foreign-born. Reads the surface of the room correctly. The depth slightly wrong.
Oskari (Project Manager) — four months unemployed. Has not told his wife. Took the top bench immediately.
Jere (Student) — last in a sauna at age eight. Will leave because of the heat. It will not have been the heat.
Siiri (Graphic Designer) — booked the public slot at 11pm on a Tuesday. Has not told anyone. Has made the heat the point so she does not have to name the actual point.
The Sauna — somewhere in Finland. Exact location unimportant. It is always the same room. Pine walls, kiuas, bench, ladle, door. The heat distributes by level. What was almost said stays in the wood.
The Porch — between the heat and everything else. The cold hits immediately. From the porch you cannot tell if someone is cooling down or leaving. Neither can anyone watching from inside. The person standing there sometimes cannot tell either.
The Kiuas — everything in this world is downstream of this.
The Ladle — the throw is unilateral. Every social negotiation this room has ever run passed through this handle. The wood does not record any of it.
The Bench — the mechanism by which the room that claims equality distributes the heat unequally.
The Sauna Door — makes staying a choice. Has admitted cold air at exactly the wrong moment — when something was almost said — and the almost-said thing was never said after that.
The Bucket — does not force endings. Just stops preventing them when it is empty.
The Cold Water — the only moment in the session when top bench and lower bench receive exactly the same thing.
The Towel — the difference between being a guest here and being a stranger here.
The Vihta — given to a guest: a specific kind of welcome. Not offered: a specific kind of withholding. Neither is neutral. Neither is always intentional.
Something you have been turning over too long at the same temperature. A question that needs heat before it can move. Something you want to carry into the cold with a clearer head.
The world will find the bench. The persona will enter. It does not resolve. It clears.
