Total Propagated Uncertainty(TPU) is a method to propagate measurement errors through an equation to a new value.
So What?
Using TPU for the photogrammetric equations gives you confidence in your final orthophoto or timestack results. Instead of saying, the sandbar position is at 100m Cross-shore, you can say, the sandbar position is at 100m +/- 5m. Instead of saying, the wave speed is 5m/s, you can say the speed is 5m/s +/- 0.3 m/s... which you could then propagate to depth.
