Voxis Live 1.0.17
Voxis Live 1.0.17
- Mid-session quota enforcement — a session now stops promptly (within one ~6s heartbeat) when your minutes run out, instead of running past the limit. The server signals exhaustion on the usage heartbeat and the client tears the session down.
- Per-channel usage attribution — usage reports now carry the distribution channel (Microsoft Store vs desktop installer) so consumption can be told apart by source.
- Store-only distribution — the in-app auto-updater has been removed; updates ship through the Microsoft Store.
Full version bump: 1.0.16 → 1.0.17.
Voxis Live 1.0.16
First public release of the open-source (BYOK) build of Voxis Live — real-time, simultaneous voice translation for Windows.
Highlights
- Native simultaneous translation via Google Gemini Live (
gemini-3.5-live-translate-preview) — speech in, translated speech out, while it is still being spoken. - Two modes — Video / Game (one-way incoming) and Meeting (two-way via a virtual microphone).
- Driverless capture (WASAPI process-exclude loopback) or VB-CABLE.
- BYOK — bring your own Gemini key; stored encrypted at rest with Windows DPAPI. No account, no server, no telemetry.
Install (developer / BYOK)
Windows 10/11 (64-bit) and Python 3.11–3.13. See docs/INSTALL_BYOK.md.
