Theme Consistency Issues (theme doesn't apply everywhere it should)

On Ubuntu 24.04 with GNOME 46, there is an issue where the theme isn't consistent across several applications.

the System Menu (menu in top right corner of the dock bar). The theme applies to the menu button, but not the menu itself. See the image below.

There is also an issue where the theme doesn't get applied to Ubuntu's Settings window. See the image below.

The theme isn't being applied to the Trash confirmation dialog as well. See image below.

File Roller, Calculator, Devices & Locations, Logs, Text Editor, GNOME Extensions Manager, GNOME Tweaks, System Monitor and Firmware Updater also aren't being themed correctly. See images below.

Cool thanks! I figured I would put this here though as it's more comprehensive about what's not being themed correctly so it isn't scattered all over the place in multiple issue reports of the same issues across several applications. If this is irrelevant, remove my post. I don't want to make more clutter for you.

I get you, but using the scriptor doing some extra steps manually is the only way we can get it working correctly in newer versions of gnome (libadwaita)

The only one that doesn't seem to have it applied is Firmware Updater. The rest is all good since they posted that script. Is it possible Flatseal could be themed too?

For flapak apps you might be missing some permissions to theme directories so you could try this:

sudo flatpak override --filesystem=~/.themes/

sudo flatpak override --filesystem=xdg-config/gtk-4.0

sudo flatpak override --filesystem=xdg-config/assets

So the only thing (besides the Firmware Updater) that's still not themed quite right is the System Menu in the upper right dock of GNOME. Is that something that can't be themed right now? It's still showing the orange and yellow in the menu even after I relogged. I'm stumped as to how to get the theme to apply there too.

Ah that was part of the problem. I didn't have the -v40 copy. I wasn't aware the other was different and figured that one wasn't for GNOME 46. My bad. It's working now. GNOME Tweaks on the other hand isn't using the theme. Still trying to figure that one.

EDIT: Nevermind. I figured it out. Gotta use the legacy theme, the one I was initially using for Gnome shell.
