Summary of Changes
Hello @Tulsishah, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!
This pull request addresses an issue where the gcsfuse binary, when built, was incorrectly reporting its version as 'v3' in sidecar logs (UserAgent). The change modifies the build process to dynamically embed the current Git commit hash, providing accurate versioning information for better observability and debugging.
Highlights
- Build Script Enhancement: The
create_csi_driver.shscript has been updated to use the actual short Git commit hash ($(git rev-parse --short HEAD)) instead of a hardcoded 'v3' when building thegcsfusebinary. This ensures that the correct version identifier is embedded in the binary.

Code Review
The pull request updates the build script to use the git commit hash for the gcsfuse binary version instead of a static string, improving traceability. The review suggests enhancing the script's robustness and debuggability by storing the hash in a variable, logging it, and quoting it.

Use proper commit hash here instead of using v3 otherwise it will always show up as v3 in the sidecar logs (UserAgent).
