This pull request correctly fixes a bug where resources with deletionGracePeriodSeconds=0 were incorrectly marked as completely removed even when finalizers were present. The change ensures that the presence of finalizers correctly keeps the resource in a deleting state until the finalizers are removed. The new tests that have been added effectively validate this fix.
My main feedback is regarding code duplication. The logic for determining resource lifetime is duplicated across lifetimetracker_task.go and resourcerevision_task.go. This includes both the state management struct and the lifetime detection logic itself. I've left a specific comment with a suggestion to refactor this into a shared utility to improve maintainability. Addressing this would make the codebase more robust against future changes.
