Hi, I'm George Ye

Front-End Engineer focused on React Native, React, and e-commerce product engineering.

I have worked on consumer-side Douyin e-commerce products at ByteDance, covering Shop, Showcase, short-video commerce, and AI commerce. I enjoy building fast, reliable, multi-platform experiences and turning product ideas into stable engineering systems.

What I Work On

  • Mobile and front-end engineering with TypeScript, React.js, React Native, Lynx, Mini Program technologies, and Node.js
  • E-commerce product infrastructure, including shop decoration, ISV component integration, multi-host rendering, and low-code preview tooling
  • Performance optimization for consumer-side containers, component loading, and key conversion flows

Selected Experience

  • Built mixed-layout, low-code, and preview capabilities for Douyin Shop, supporting shop decoration, ISV components, and rendering across multiple host apps.
  • Led interaction and strategy iterations for short-video commerce custom cards, improving CTR and conversion flows and growing average daily GMV from RMB 10M+ to RMB 100M+.
  • Served as front-end technical owner for the Douyin Shop homepage decoration mixed-layout project, reducing page load time from 2s to 1.2s on iOS and from 3s to 1.7s on Android.
  • Participated in zero-to-one AI commerce product development, including an AI content app, gift assistant agent, content management tools, and LLM-powered content generation workflows.
