This is a minimalist, usability-friendly user-overrides.js file for arkenfox/user.js β customized to use Quad9.net as the sole DNS resolver via DNS-over-HTTPS (TRR-only).
- Uses TRR-only DNS mode (no system fallback)
- Fully routed through
dns.quad9.net(no logging, unfiltered) - Disables telemetry, sponsored content, and built-in autofill
- Retains session, cookie, and history data
- Allows DRM and PDF viewer for usability
- LocalCDN-friendly (preserves cache)
- uBlock Origin friendly β Firefoxβs built-in tracking protection is disabled to avoid duplication. This config does not interfere with uBOβs cosmetic filtering, logger, or dynamic filtering behavior.
- Download or clone arkenfox/user.js
- Download the ZIP file below and extract
user-overrides.js - Place both files in your Firefox profile folder
- Run the arkenfox updater script or apply manually
- Launch Firefox β settings will be applied on startup
The archive includes:
user-overrides.js: override config (for Firefox profile)README.md: usage instructions
Orogin github.com/Orogin
This configuration assumes external tools (like DNS0, uBlock Origin, etc.) handle additional filtering and privacy hardening. Adjust as needed for stricter threat models.
