This web application helps users organize and manage files for the FiveMWash project. It runs inside your web browser and provides a simple interface to track your assets. This tool removes the need for complex command-line scripts or manual file management. You can view your data, update your configurations, and sync your settings through a clean dashboard.
Your computer must meet these basic needs to run the application effectively:
- Operating System: Windows 10 or Windows 11.
- Web Browser: A modern version of Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Mozilla Firefox.
- Internet Connection: A stable connection to load the dashboard files.
- RAM: At least 4GB of system memory.
Follow these steps to set up the application on your computer.
- Open your preferred web browser.
- Visit the project page at https://github.com/Othilielambent41/fivemwash-2026-web-release to access the latest version.
- Click the green button labeled "Code" and then click "Download ZIP" to save the file to your computer.
- Find the downloaded folder in your Downloads directory.
- Right-click the folder and select "Extract All".
- Choose a folder on your computer to save the files and click "Extract".
Once you extract the files, follow these instructions to start the interface:
- Open the folder containing the extracted files.
- Look for a file named "index.html".
- Double-click this file to open it in your default web browser.
- The browser will now display the FiveMWash dashboard.
- You can bookmark this page in your browser to return to the dashboard later.
The application saves your preferences to your browser storage. This ensures your settings remain active each time you open the dashboard. You do not need to install extra software or run background processes to maintain these settings. If you delete your browser history or cache, the application will reset to its default state.
Do I need a server? No. This is a static web application. It runs locally in your browser without a server connection.
Does this software store my passwords? No. This tool only manages local configuration files. It does not collect or transmit your login credentials.
Can I run this on mobile devices? While the interface works on tablets, it performs best on a desktop monitor with a mouse and keyboard.
What do I do if the screen stays blank? Refresh your browser page. If the issue persists, ensure that you extracted all files from the ZIP folder before opening the index file.
If you encounter errors, check these common fixes:
- Broken layout: Ensure all files from the ZIP folder exist in the same directory.
- Missing buttons: Update your web browser to the latest version.
- Page not found: Verify that the folder path contains no special characters or symbols.
- General errors: Clear your browser cache and reload the page.
