Getting Started

Prerequisites

• Node.js 18.x or later
• Next.js 15.x or later
• A PostgreSQL database instance (local or hosted like Supabase/Neon)
• Clerk API keys (Authentication)
• Resend API key (Email Alerts)

Installation

1. Clone the repository

   git clone [https://github.com/savaxc/inventory-management-app.git](https://github.com/savaxc/inventory-management-app.git)
   cd inventory-management-app
   

2. Install dependencies

   npm install
   

3. Set up environment variables Create a .env.local file in the root directory:

   DATABASE_URL="your_postgresql_url"
   NEXT_PUBLIC_CLERK_PUBLISHABLE_KEY="your_clerk_pub_key"
   CLERK_SECRET_KEY="your_clerk_secret_key"
   RESEND_API_KEY="your_resend_key"
   

4. Sync Database Schema

   npx prisma db push
   

5. Run the development server

   npm run dev
