Savya Sanchi Sharma

BTech undergraduate specializing in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at IIIT Dharwad, focused on building intelligent systems with a strong foundation in systems programming and performance-oriented design.

Profile

I work at the intersection of machine learning and systems engineering. My primary interest lies in understanding how intelligent models interact with hardware and runtime environments, and how they can be optimized for efficiency, scalability, and real-world deployment.

My work spans AI/ML, backend systems, generative AI, GPU-aware computing, and edge-oriented architectures. I am particularly driven by exploring how modern software systems function under the hood — from memory layout and execution models to compiler behavior and performance constraints.

  • Deepening expertise in Rust for building high-performance backend systems
  • Designing and experimenting with Generative AI and LLM-based systems
  • Exploring CUDA, GPU programming, and performance-aware ML optimization
  • Implementing AI models in low-level systems and edge environments
  • Working on Computer Vision systems with a focus on efficiency and real-time performance
  • Studying compiler design and language internals to strengthen systems-level understanding
  • Building integrated systems that combine backend engineering, AI models, and scalable infrastructure
