🛹 Hi, I'm Stephen.

Design engineer working at the seam where design and engineering meet. I build design systems and the tooling that makes teams actually adopt them.

Most recently I was the primary engineer on an AI-fluent design system at Scale: 50+ components with near-complete Code Connect coverage, a Figma-to-code token pipeline running in CI, and MCP integration so designers, engineers, and AI agents build from one source. Two teams adopted it in production; others started contributing components back.

Art-school background, a decade of production frontend (React, TypeScript), and a particular interest in what a design system becomes when agents build alongside people.

What I'm working on

  • Design systems that are as ready for AI as they are for people
  • Evals for AI-generated UI, and agent-buildable component libraries
  • Figma-to-code token pipelines and Code Connect
