Visual Space does not display active applications on desktop

It works fine on Budgie 24.04 but not on budgie 26.04.

Correct. This is a limitation of the current version of labwc in 26.04.
You will see the same issue with the workspace switcher applet.

There is a new version of labwc available which we can retest with once it makes it's way into debian/ubuntu.

Testing with the current version of wayfire, the workspace switcher applet has the opposite issue. It displays icons for the current workspace but you cant actually switch workspaces with the applet. Again we are waiting for upstream to uplift to a new stable release.

Once either wayfire or labwc has a working solution we can then update the visual space applet.
