Fixed in 1ce0395.

Two separate problems:

  1. npm ci failed with ERESOLVE because typescript 7.0.2 is outside the @typescript-eslint peer range (>=4.8.4 <6.1.0), and 8.69.0 is the latest release. Kept typescript at ^6.0.3 until typescript-eslint supports TS 7; dependabot can retry the major bump then.
  2. ESLint 10 dropped .eslintrc.json / .eslintignore support, so I migrated to flat config in eslint.config.mjs (added @eslint/js) and fixed the two violations from rules newly added to eslint:recommended (no-useless-assignment, preserve-caught-error, now using {cause: error}). dist/ was rebuilt.

Verified locally: npm ci, npm run all (build, format, lint, package) and npm test (15 tests) all pass.
