Portfolio - Inspired By Einstein's Theories

A personal portfolio website for Ainaan Raza, designed with a unique scientific theme inspired by Einstein's theories. I love Science and Technology. This project showcases skills, projects, and achievements in an interactive and visually engaging way.

How This Portfolio is Inspired by Einstein's Theories

This portfolio is deeply inspired by Albert Einstein’s groundbreaking contributions to physics—specifically General Relativity, Special Relativity, and his work on Quantum Mechanics & the Photoelectric Effect. The entire user interface is designed to make the user feel like they are exploring a cosmic, physics-driven universe where the laws of nature are visually interactive.

1. General Relativity (Spacetime Curvature & Gravity)

Einstein's General Theory of Relativity states that gravity is not a traditional "pulling" force, but rather a warping of the fabric of space and time caused by mass.

  • The Spacetime Grid (About.jsx): In the About section, there is a literal "Spacetime Grid Canvas." As you move your mouse over it, the flat, straight lines distort and curve around your cursor. Your cursor acts as a "massive object" (like a star or black hole), actively bending the spacetime grid around it.
  • Gravitational Repulsion/Lensing (FloatingFormulas.jsx & Hero.jsx): When you hover near the floating physics formulas or the starry background, they react to your mouse position. In the Hero section, particles are pulled or pushed away using inverse-square-like mathematics, mimicking invisible gravitational fields or gravitational lensing (how light bends around massive objects).
  • Einstein's Field Equations: Among the floating formulas, you will see Rμν=8πGTμν (or Gμν=8πTμν), which is the actual mathematical equation for General Relativity representing how matter tells spacetime how to curve.

2. Special Relativity (The Speed of Light & Mass-Energy)

Special Relativity introduced the cosmic speed limit (the speed of light) and the idea that space and time are relative to the observer's speed.

  • Warp Speed Button (Hero.jsx): Clicking the "Warp Speed" button accelerates the background starfield particles. This visually represents an observer hurtling through space near the speed of light, where the universe distorts around you.
  • Mass-Energy Equivalence (E=mc²): This iconic formula is explicitly floating in the background, serving as a reminder that the energy of the portfolio's cosmic universe and its visual mass are one and the same.
  • Photons / Light Particles: When you click the background in the hero section, it generates "photons" (particles of light) that travel perfectly straight and bounce around the screen at a high, constant speed.

3. The Photoelectric Effect & Quantum Theory

Einstein won his Nobel Prize not for Relativity, but for his discovery of the Photoelectric Effect—proving that light is made of individual packets of energy (quanta or photons) that interact with electrons.

  • Interactive Photons (Hero.jsx): The fact that clicking your mouse "emits" clustered bursts of photons directly references his discovery that light behaves as discrete particles.
  • The Orbital Atom (OrbitalAtom.jsx & Projects.jsx): Glowing, animated atoms with orbiting electrons appear inside Project cards and throughout the UI. Einstein's theories were fundamental in establishing early quantum mechanics, which gave us the atomic model. You also see the equation ℏω=E floating around, which is the Planck-Einstein relation defining photon energy.

4. Cosmological & Astrological Aesthetics

Einstein’s equations govern the macro-universe, and the portfolio's UI is styled to match a cosmic journey.

  • The "Cosmic Red" Theme: The portfolio heavily utilizes custom colors like cosmic-red and cosmic-dark-red. In astrophysics, "redshift" occurs when objects are moving away from an observer at massive speeds (expansion of the universe), fitting perfectly with the Special Relativity and Warp Speed themes.
  • Custom Trailing Cursor (CustomCursor.jsx): The mouse cursor has an outer ring and a blurry gradient trail. It acts like a comet or a high-energy particle moving through a vacuum, leaving an energy wake behind it.
  • Einstein's Wisdom (EinsteinQuotes.jsx): Finally, the portfolio cycles through his most famous quotes (e.g., "Imagination is more important than knowledge"). By putting his quotes front and center, it shifts the focus from purely hard science to Einstein's philosophy of curiosity—which is perfectly fitting for a developer showcasing their imaginative creations.
