Bug reports and feature requests for SPD-SX Editor, a Mac app for the Roland SPD-SX and SPD-SX SE: a kit and pad editor, a sample librarian and a sound-design workshop in one window.
There is no source code here. This repository exists so that reports have somewhere public to live, where you can see what has already been raised and what is being worked on.

SPD-SX Editor cannot be bought or downloaded yet. It is not on the Mac App Store and direct purchasing is not open. The prices on the product page are final; the checkout is still being set up.
Open an issue at Issues. The more of this you can include, the faster it can be reproduced:
- What you did, what happened, what you expected instead. In that order, in plain words. A single sentence is fine.
- Your macOS version (Apple menu, About This Mac) and whether the Mac is Apple silicon or Intel.
- Your hardware: SPD-SX or SPD-SX SE, and the firmware version if you know it.
- Which view you were in when it happened: Pad View, Sample Edit, Kit View, Audio Unit or Record.
- A screenshot, if the problem is something you can see.
If the app crashed, macOS keeps the crash report. Open Console, choose Crash Reports in the sidebar, find the newest entry named after the app, and attach it. It is worth more than any description.
Sample audio you do not have the right to share, and anything from a project you would mind being public. Issues here are visible to everyone.

what a .spd backup actually is, and the USB mode setting that decides whether a Mac can
see the card at all. That last one is the usual answer when a computer does not see the
unit.
