+Use this workflow when publishing a new package version from this monorepo.
+
+### 1) Add a changeset in your initial PR
+
+From the repository root:
+
+```bash
+yarn changeset
+```
+
+- Select packages in the prompt.
+- Choose the correct bump type (`patch`, `minor`, or `major`).
+- Write a short, user-facing summary.
+- Commit the generated file in `.changeset/` in the same PR as your code changes.
+
+Open a PR and merge it to `master` once CI is green.

+### 2) Version packages with Changesets
+
+After a PR that already includes its `.changeset` file is merged, run this from the latest `master` branch:

+This command updates package versions and changelogs (including `packages/credential-sdk/CHANGELOG.md` and `packages/credential-sdk/package.json`).
