SpicetifyManager provides a simple way to change your Spotify desktop interface. It acts as a bridge between your computer and Spicetify. This tool uses a menu-based system to help you install themes, extensions, and the Marketplace without typing complex commands. You can change your music player look or restore your previous settings with one click.
Before you start, ensure your computer meets these conditions:
- Windows 10 or 11.
- The official Spotify desktop application installed from the Spotify website (The Microsoft Store version may cause issues).
- An active internet connection to download themes and tools.
- Basic permissions to run PowerShell scripts on your local system.
Follow these steps to set up the manager on your machine:
- Visit the official releases page to download the latest version.
- Locate the file ending in .zip in the Assets section.
- Click the file to save it to your Downloads folder.
- Right-click the downloaded zip file and select Extract All.
- Open the folder you just extracted.
- Right-click the file named SpicetifyManager.ps1.
- Select Run with PowerShell.
If this is your first time, a small window will appear and ask for permission to change settings. Confirm this request to proceed.
The manager displays a numbered menu inside your PowerShell window. Use your keyboard to type the number that matches the action you want to perform.
Choose the theme option from the main menu. The program will list available styles from the online store. Select your choice by number. The program automatically downloads the files and applies the colors to your Spotify window. You may need to restart Spotify to see the changes.
Extensions add extra buttons and features to your Spotify interface. Select the extensions menu to browse tools that add lyrics, record sharing, or cover art tweaking. Choose the extension you want, and the manager handles the installation process.
The Marketplace acts as a library for all community-created content. Access this menu to search for new themes or updates for your current setup. The manager keeps track of what you install so you can remove or update items easily.
If you want to go back to the original Spotify look, select the restore option. This command cleans all custom files and resets your Spotify application to its default state. Use this before running Spotify updates to prevent errors.
- Window closes immediately: Ensure you ran the file with PowerShell and not by double-clicking it like an ordinary program.
- Permissions error: Right-click your PowerShell icon and select Run as administrator. This provides the access required to modify program files.
- Spotify update broke my theme: Open the manager and select the refresh or update option. Custom themes often need a quick re-apply after a major Spotify version change.
- Missing files: Check if your antivirus software quarantined the manager. Since the tool modifies Spotify files, some security software may flag it. Add an exclusion for your Spicetify folder.
This tool runs PowerShell scripts that communicate with the Spicetify command-line interface. Instead of writing text commands, you interact with the interface provided by this manager. It tracks your local folders and ensures that downloaded themes correspond to your installed version of Spotify.
