[graphiql] distribute standalone binary?

I love graphiql but it's hard to use it for arbitrary APIs because of CORS.

Would it be possible to have a standalone MacOS app not subject to those? Also where I could persist my request collections locally, etc..

We recently built and open-sourced a cross-platform desktop GraphiQL client that directly addresses CORS and local execution: mcp-graphiql.

It bypasses browser CORS limitations by routing requests through a local Electron background proxy, so you can query arbitrary GraphQL APIs with custom auth headers without CORS issues.

Features:

• No CORS issues: Native Node.js request proxying under the hood.
• Cross-platform binaries: CI/CD builds available for macOS, Linux (AppImage, deb), and Windows. (Note: I've personally verified and tested the AppImage build on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS).
