Description
Replace the six substantive shell orchestration scripts under
scripts/with typed Bun entry points, so repository policy is linted, type-checked, and directly tested alongside the existing TypeScript tooling. Package commands, Jean hooks, CI workflows, and contributor documentation move with the implementations, while the nginx runtime entrypoint remains an explicit shell boundary because the final image does not contain Bun.The migration uses structured process, filesystem, HTTP, JSON, SQL, hashing, and crypto APIs rather than shell interpolation. It also hardens destructive cleanup and interruption handling, keeps credentials out of process arguments and public files, and adds planted failure tests for database restoration and public-test input validation.
Fixes #1552
How to test
Automated checks run for this branch:
bun run formatbun run checkbun run test:webappTargeted smoke checks:
POSTGRES_PORT=65431 SERVER_PORT=65431 WEBAPP_PORT=65431 bun run check:ports -- --quietexits with status 1.bun run jean:public-test -- helplistsstart, stop, status, smoke, andseed-status.bun scripts/db-utils.ts --helplists the database commands. The credentialed E2E and internet-facing public-test flows require machine-local SCM/LLM credentials, Docker, PostgreSQL, and Coolify/Traefik, so they were not started in this checkout. Their configuration validation, cleanup, interruption, and secret-safe diagnostic paths are covered by
bun run test:tooling.Checklist
