Follow-up suggestion (not addressed here): In the property extension section (3.1.1), consider restructuring the example into two parts. Right now a single CDDL block passes the same type three times to the property-protocol-map generic, and then two JSON instances (direct form and read/write split) follow. It could read more clearly as:

Set of clarification and terminology fix suggestions. See commit messages for details. No normative/CDDL changes. Terminology aligned with SDF ("quality"), several "the corresponding JSON" phrasings reworded to make clear the examples are illustrative instances, and the abstract/intro tightened.
