Jeremy Chu

I'm an enterprise architect and full-stack engineer who builds systems for complex, operationally intensive businesses. My work has spanned financial services, supply-chain logistics, solar, and construction.

I began my career in finance and then moved into building companies: I founded, scaled, and exited a logistics venture whose technology managed more than 15,000 ocean freight containers annually, launched a residential solar installation company, and served as Head of Technology for the largest solar distributor in the United States through a private equity acquisition. Across those roles, I worked directly inside the commercial and operational systems that connect solar sales, engineering, permitting, installation, and distribution.

My current focus is applied AI. I'm the lead engineer on a design platform for the solar construction industry that transforms a preliminary solar design into permit-ready engineering — drawings, wire sizing, and code-compliance checks — in minutes rather than hours. I built the platform end to end, grounding its AI in verified sources, because its users are engineers who expect the output to hold up to expert review. Beyond the design platform, I integrate AI into the company's broader operational environment: the ERP, CRM, and industry-specific systems where the business actually runs.

The pattern across my career has remained consistent: embed deeply within a complex operation, understand the business as well as the people running it, and build systems they will actually adopt. I'm now most interested in the deployment problem rather than the demo problem — what it takes to make AI reliable, accountable, and genuinely useful inside businesses that cannot afford for it to be confidently wrong.
