YouTube Video Filter

Chrome extension for hiding YouTube videos with titles that match keywords in the extension list

  • This extension will hide videos that appear in feeds, search results, and related videos
  • This extension will not hide YouTube channels, playlists, and videos that appear in playlists

Installation

  • Fork and clone this repo to your local device
  • In your Chrome browser, select the three vertical dots -> More Tools -> Extensions.
  • Enable Developer Mode
  • Load the unpacked extension and select the cloned root folder
  • You should now see the YouTube Video Filter extension added to your Chrome browser

Usage

After installation, simply click on the extension icon in your browser, enter a keyword and click the + button to add to the filter list, and watch the extension start hiding videos that match keywords in your list. Click the x button to remove any keywords from the list. Note that after removing a keyword from the list, any hidden videos will remain hidden and you will need to refresh the page.
