I am a Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering MSc candidate at the University of Leeds, graduating September 2026, and a Tetley and Lupton Scholar. I hold a First Class BEng in Agricultural and Bioresources Engineering from the University of Nigeria and have 7 years of experience spanning robotics research, autonomous systems, embedded hardware, and engineering publications.
I am currently open to graduate roles in robotics engineering, autonomous systems, mechatronics, and related fields across the UK and internationally.
Robot dynamics, modelling, and control My MSc thesis focuses on the design, dynamic modelling, and control of a self-balancing robot with jump actuation, combining nonlinear dynamics, state estimation, and embedded control implementation.
Autonomous wheeled mobile robots and UAVs I have designed and built multiple WMR platforms for site-specific agricultural management and field surveillance, as well as UAV systems for aerial imaging in enterprise farming. This work spans mechanical design (Fusion 360, SolidWorks), electronics, and control programming.
Rehabilitation robotics As part of a team project, I led the control architecture and sensing design for a lightweight ankle rehabilitation exoskeleton using NiTi Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) actuators. My contributions included PID-based passive-mode position control with temperature-aware gain shaping, active-mode gait monitoring, sensor fusion using IMUs and force sensors, and a full failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) aligned with ISO 14971.
Reinforcement learning and computer vision I apply reinforcement learning and computer vision techniques to autonomous vehicle navigation and precision agriculture, including work on machine learning models for soil fertility prediction and flood assessment using support vector machines and GIS tools.
Embedded systems and hardware Hands-on experience with Arduino, DE1 SoC FPGA boards, microcontroller programming, circuit design, and sensor integration across multiple research and industry projects.
