I struggle to remember why we actually need this crate. Maybe we can even remove this dependency.

We use it to set policy-server as a daemon: https://github.com/kubewarden/policy-server/blob/main/src/main.rs#L38-L52

Yes, but I fail to remember the use case for that. It might have to deal with running the policy server outside of a container using systemd to validate raw json payloads.

If that's the case, I think we can really get rid of the dependency because this is a use case that is far from what we want to support
