I refactored Xwt.Gtk-Backend using
https://github.com/GtkSharp/GtkSharp
using the following pull requests: GtkSharp/GtkSharp#151 GtkSharp/GtkSharp#150
most of the examples are working, but there is some work left todo.

REMARKS
as mentioned above, this is a preview.
i currently only have adopted a linux-version, Gtk.Windows over Gtk3 is missing at the moment.
Gtk2-implementation is messed up, but should be easy to restore again
