The demo import breaks the theme

When the demo content is installed it breaks the theme.

Leaving this open — I cannot verify it without the demo content in question.

The linked forum thread is about a demo SQL file rather than a normal WordPress importer file, and I do not have that file to test against. An SQL dump restores options wholesale, including theme options saved against a different version of the theme, which is a plausible way to end up with a broken-looking site.

Two things that have changed since 2018 and may be relevant:

• The theme's colour options are now re-validated when they are printed, so an imported option holding something that is not a colour is dropped rather than emitted into the page's <style> block.
• The featured slider no longer prints "Slider is not properly configured" onto the front end when its settings are incomplete, which is what an import with partial options used to trigger (Slider is not properly configured #61, Slider is not properly configured #71).

If the demo import still breaks the theme on 2.2.5, could you say what "breaks" looks like — a fatal, a blank page, or a layout problem — and I will chase it from there?
