HOMEii Music Flow 5.8.2-beta.4

This beta focuses on troubleshooting, invalid direct Music Assistant URL handling, Danish localization, and lower memory pressure on small devices.

Fixed

  • Detects when ma_url points to the Home Assistant Music Assistant ingress page instead of the direct Music Assistant API.
  • Shows a clear setup message when ma_url is wrong: leave it empty for the normal Home Assistant integration path, or use the direct Music Assistant Web Server URL such as http://host:8095.
  • Adds a short backoff after failed direct MA API calls such as 404/405, preventing repeated request loops against an invalid endpoint.
  • Keeps the Beta 1, Beta 2, and Beta 3 artwork and Music Assistant compatibility fixes.

Added

  • Adds a basic in-card Diagnostics screen under Settings > Music Assistant.
  • Diagnostics checks Home Assistant frontend access, Music Assistant services, config entry state, MA players, selected player, ma_url, mixed-content risk, direct API reachability, WebSocket state, and a small library smoke test.
  • Adds a copyable diagnostics report for GitHub issues.
  • Adds Danish (da) localization and language-picker support.

Performance

  • Scales the decoded artwork cache by performance_profile.
  • default keeps the existing cache size.
  • lite and ultra_lite use smaller decoded artwork caches to reduce memory pressure on small devices.

Testing Notes

After installing, hard refresh the Home Assistant dashboard and make sure the Lovelace resource URL/cache key is updated to:

/local/community/homeii-music-flow/homeii-music-flow.js?v=5.8.2-beta.4

To test the new diagnostics flow, open HOMEii Flow on a phone/tablet layout, go to Settings > Music Assistant > Diagnostics, run the check, and use Copy report if something still looks wrong.
