Syed Riad Morshed is an urban and regional planning researcher and practitioner specializing in GIS, remote sensing, environmental planning, and spatial data analysis. Currently pursuing a Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning at Alabama A&M University, he works as a Graduate Research Assistant on projects related to urban transportation, land use, sustainability, and LiDAR-based building analysis. His research spans pedestrian road-crossing behavior, traffic congestion, and the socioeconomic impacts of urban mobility challenges. He is especially interested in non-motorized travel behavior-based spatial accessibility within a 15-minute travel threshold, with a focus on improving public health and addressing environmental challenges in urban areas.
