Antennas

Antenna models and simulations using cocoaNEC's NC scripting language.

Overview

A collection of antenna designs created using cocoaNEC, a macOS application for modeling antennas. This project explores fractal antenna designs and demonstrates the power of NC scripting for antenna modeling, inspired by discussions at the Burnaby Amateur Radio Club.

Features

  • Fractal antenna designs (Koch, Dragon Curve)
  • NC scripting examples for antenna modeling
  • Antenna optimization demonstrations
  • Dipole reference implementation

Prerequisites

Run

  1. Download and install cocoaNEC from http://www.w7ay.net/site/Applications/cocoaNEC/
  2. Open any .nc file in cocoaNEC
  3. Run the model

Available Models

File Description
BoringFractal.nc First attempt, testing NC recursion
Dipole.nc Reference dipole antenna
DragonCurve.nc Fractal generated by folding
KochFractal.nc Generated by replacing line centers with triangles

Tests

Tests are not yet implemented.
