"I aim to become a rising star in the Physical AGI".
Selim Sarowar is pursuing an M.Sc.(Computer Vision & AI track) at Yeungnam University (YU) as a GKS Scholar, funded by Global Korea Scholarship (GKS), NIIED, as well as additional funding by RLRC, Future Drive Ltd. & RISE projects (Industry Collaboration). He joined the Advanced Visual Intelligence Lab under the supervision of Prof. Sungho Kim.
His current research interests strongly lie in vision-language-action (VLAs), world models & agentic robotics for 5D robot manipulation to leverage physical AGI, as well as 3D computer vision & spatial intelligence, 5D robot manipulation, and 6D pose estimation.
Prior to joining the YU MS degree, he had completed a 1-year Korean Language & Literature degree through KLI and YU & achieved an intermediate level in Korean under the GKS program. As well, He worked 1 year in the WCSP Lab as a full-time Research Assistant at National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan. Furthermore, he conducted research on ML and Privacy-Preserving Methods and helped the supervisor and lab members with their research. And so, He has obtained his B. Tech degree as Indian Govt. Scholar from the School of Electronics Engineering, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), where he conducted research in Image Processing & Machine Learning under the supervision of Prof. Jitendra Kumar Das. He also had the opportunity to work as a machine learning intern at IIT Roorkee, where he focused on developing image-processing and feature-extraction algorithms for biomedical signals.
