I'm building Zodee, an autonomous robot that fixes a problem I see every single day at my home in Sri Lanka wet and slippery bathroom floors. after someone showers, the floor stays wet for a long time because of the humidity here. My younger brh and my parents have nearly fell down many times and it’s a constant safety worry for me. I noticed that most cleaning robots are just for vacuming dust and can’t handle a 'flooded' floor. So, I want to create zodee— specialized robot with a rubber squeegee that pushes water directly into the drain. the main challenge I want to solve is making sure the robot can grip the wet tiles without slipping so I’m planning to use high-traction rubber tracks. I'm currently studying for my exams but in my free time, I love building hardware. I want to make Zodee a simple, low-cost tool that anyone can build to keep their family safe from bathroom accidents.
